A silverplated kilt pin style brooch or bag pin featuring an image of smiling Suffragette Annie Kenney being arrested at a demonstration in 1906. Annie Kenney (1879-1953) was an English working class suffragette who was arrested 13 times and became a leading figure in the Women's Social and Political Union. The pin features a quote of hers "The law may be stronger than I am, but if I may not change the wicked law that holds in bondage the smitten womanhood of this country, I will at least die in the attempt to change it’. The pin is approx 5cms across and is completed with a heart shaped padlock charm and crystal.
